If you are planning on coming out on camp trips you need to complete this training AND file your youth protection number with Mr Amann. - This training is mandated by the Greater Niagara Frontier Council for any adult who will be in contact with youth.
- Mandatory before a unit may obtain a tour permit or camp on Council properties.
- This training is available on the Council website with a test upon completion.
- Also, offered at the beginning of all New Leader Essential Training courses beginning fall of 2003 for those who do not have Internet access.
- Numbered cards are presented upon completion of this training to ensure compliance.
- Time: approximately 90 minutes.
- Youth Protection Training expires 5 years from the date of completion. Every registered adult leader or parent that comes in direct contact with youth members must renew youth protection training every 5 years.

Summer camp forms are out and will be given out as soon as we can. The old forms are no longer valid. We are looking to have camp money asap. We are going to Camp Merz for 2011 summercamp. Please plan on Summer Camp being $? due to the cost of EVERYTHING going up. Start saving now, remember you can add money at anytime to your son's account. The week we are going is July 17 - 22, 2011. We will be at Wilderness site. OLDER SCOUT PROGRAM For the boys that like summercamp but are bored of the same old merit badges this he for you. Biking; Hiking; Swimming; Kayaking; Rappelling; Sound like fun! Come try out our program if you are a scout 15 years or older. Not only can you spend your mornings earning merit badges you can spend your afternoon and some evenings having fun. There is an additional $40 fee for this program. For more info check out: www.campmerz.org. Older Scout Program Because of great reviews last year, we are continuing this program for a second year. If you are a boy scout who has been going to camp for the past couple of years and feel that camp has nothing left to offer you, YOU”RE WRONG! This program is designed for scouts 15 and older that are physically fit and enjoy having a good time in the outdoors. Some tentative events that are planned are: inner tubing, rappelling, hiking, cycling, over night camping trips, and more. If you think this is for you, and you meet all the requirements, make sure to sign-up for this great program. Outpost Camps If you are not yet old enough to go on the Older Scout Program don’t worry, we also offer a few over night excursion to remote areas of the camp property or even off camp property! They are all fun and open to every Scout. These outposts are the highlight of the week at camp, providing some of the most exciting experiences that a boy could dream of. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY SCOUTS ATTENDING AN OUTPOST CAMP MUST HAVE HIS OWN HIKING GEAR INCLUDING: BACKPACK, BEDROLL, SLEEPING BAG, HIKING SHOES, WATER BOTTLE, RAIN GEAR, ETC. Shooting Sports Complex Recently, in 2005, we have added the Hulquist Shooting Sports Complex that allows us to shoot 22’s, Shotgun, and Black Powder at one great place. Located at the back part of camp the Shooting sports complex is great for Scouts and Scouters who love to shooting sports to participate in our program. We also have covered pavilions that offer an Archery and BB Gun Program for scouts of all ages. *Introduced in 2008; we offer a BB Gun Award Program for scouts not old enough to shoot 22’s, Black Powder, or Shotgun.
Sailing, Water Skiing, Motor Boating, and More! Camp Merz is located on beautiful Chautauqua Lake giving us the chance to utilize our water front to the fullest extent. Our water front activities include: swimming, canoeing, snorkeling, sailing, rowing, water skiing, motor boating, and more! ~Because of rising fuel costs water skiing and motor boating include a small fee, please see the Leader’s guide for more information. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY WATER ACTIVITY REQUIRES THE USE OF CLOSED TOE WATER SHOES. NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE TO THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY RULE. Some merit badge classes have fees associated with them. 1. - Crafts can cost $5 to $30 per Craft basketry, leather working, shooting, Boating, etc.

- Cell phones, Ipods, radio, etc. Please see the Scoutmaster first.
- Please Note: No nylon shorts with scout shirt, Camouflage and other inappropriate clothing is now allowed. Proper footwear should be worn at all times. Sandals will not be permitted. Non-folding knives are not allowed in camp.
